My Passion for Business Ownership
I'm very passionate about this because I always hated working for someone else. It's so demotivating to me and caused me to slack off at any job I've had. I just don't find any enjoyment in hustling hard to make someone else rich, knowing that I can be putting in the same effort to grow my own wealth. Every job to me is a dead-end job because there's limits to how much you can make. I don't care how good you are at your job, your boss will always cap off how much they're willing to pay you, and they'll never teach you the right skill sets to start your own business because it doesn't serve them to do so. It's a huge life goal of mine to help as many people as I can break free from the mundane and miserable life of working for an employer, and awaken their entrepreneurial abilities to work for themselves and make REAL money.
Compared to Real Estate Investing
My journey started off years ago with a passion in real estate. Like so many people, HGTV got me obsessed with the idea of buying a run-down house for super cheap and putting in the work to create something beautiful that’s worth much more. I studied so many books on real estate and eventually became a REALTOR to help propel my abilities and outreach in the industry. I eventually grew frustrated with real estate though. It seemed like everyone else had the same idea. The market became so saturated with other investors that it was increasingly difficult to find any good deals for houses. Maybe some of you can relate.
That’s when I discovered through a good friend (who is now one of my business partners) that you can invest in businesses much like you can in real estate. Better actually! There’s way less competition, you don’t need money to invest, the skills are all mental instead of physical, and you feel a great sense of accomplishment watching a business go from near bankruptcy to flourishing profits.
Just like with real estate investing where you make more money selling the property than renting it (unless your renting for the long term), the biggest reward in business investments comes when you sell the business, not when you're operating it. So the trick is to always be looking for more deals and acquiring a portfolio of multiple businesses that you're constantly improving on, and selling for HUGE profits. Even better, you can find businesses that are synergistic to each other to further help their growth. Think of business investing like rehabbing houses, only it’s way more profitable and a lot less back-breaking. Plus, you can’t rehab houses without contributing either your own capital or someone else’s. This method for acquiring businesses and growing them involves NO cash and NO personal loans.
Our Mentorship Opportunity
